Privacy policy

DreamScape AI is a dream journal with AI interpretation, offered as iOS and Android apps and as a web app at dreamscapeai.app. It is operated by Hysa Tech, the data controller for everything described here. Questions and requests go to support@dreamscapeai.app. Use of DreamScape AI is also governed by the Hysa Tech Terms of Service.

Account. Your email address, display name, and sign-in identifiers from Firebase Authentication, including Google or Apple sign-in if you use them.

Journal content. The dreams you write or dictate, the interpretations generated for them, and your journaling streaks. On mobile, voice input is used only to capture your dream; you choose what to record.

Onboarding answers. What you tell us during setup: recall frequency, dream themes, goals, wellbeing focuses, age range, and gender. We use them only to personalize your readings, and every question can be answered however you choose.

Subscription status. Which plan you have and whether it is active. Payments themselves are processed by Apple, Google, or Paddle; card numbers never reach us.

Usage and device data. App events, device type, crash reports, and approximate region, collected through Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. These see events, never the content of your dreams.

When you request a reading, the text of your dream and relevant onboarding answers are sent to Google's Gemini models through Firebase AI to generate the interpretation, then stored in your journal. Google processes this data as our service provider under its data processing terms. We do not use your dreams to train AI models.

Interpretations are reflections for self-exploration, not medical, psychological, or professional advice.

To run the product: generating readings, syncing your journal across devices, and keeping your subscription working across web and mobile. To keep it healthy: fixing crashes, understanding which features are used, preventing fraud and abuse. To support you when you write to us. And to meet legal obligations where they apply. We rely on the contract we have with you, our legitimate interest in operating and improving the product, and your consent where the law requires it.

Only service providers that make the product work: Google (Firebase authentication, database, analytics, crash reporting, and Gemini AI processing), Paddle (web payments, as merchant of record), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Apple and Google (app store purchases). Each receives only what its job requires. Beyond that, we disclose data only if the law compels us to, or as part of a business transfer in which this policy continues to apply.

We do not sell your personal data, and we never share the content of your dreams with advertisers or anyone else for marketing.

If you arrive through one of our ad campaigns, we may use attribution tools to measure that the campaign worked. On iOS this happens only if you allow tracking when the system asks. Measurement never involves your journal content.

Data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure, which may process it outside your country under Google's standard contractual safeguards. We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Delete a dream and it is gone; delete your account and your journal, onboarding answers, and profile are permanently removed. Records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons, such as payment records held by Paddle, survive only as long as those obligations require.

You can read, edit, and delete your dreams in the app at any time, and delete your entire account from settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or object to processing of your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority. For any of these, email support@dreamscapeai.app and we will respond within the legally required time.

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is scoped to your account id, and payment credentials are handled entirely by our payment providers. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.

DreamScape AI is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continued use after that means you accept the updated policy.
